Woluwe Saint-Pierre Park is located in Woluwe Saint-Pierre, one of the 19 community zones in Brussels, where the Embassy of Thailand is also situated. The Park is located at the intersection between 2 main roads: the Tervueren Avenue and the Boulevard of the Sovereign. The Tervueren Avenue was constructed in the reign of King Leopold II (1865-1909). He was praised as being a King-Builder who improved the scenery of Brussels, the capital of Belgium, by constructing many new roads and parks. Along the Tervueren Avenue appear a number of museums including the Museum of Art, the Military Museum, the Automobiles Museum, etc. The Boulevard of the Sovereign is the site of the Val Duchesse Palace which is now the Government House of Belgium and also the site of the Saint Anne Palace. Both sides of this road are beautifully decorated with the ornamental plants and small ponds. Woluwe Saint-Pierre Park is therefore a recreational site for the Brussels residents and foreign visitors who can frequently come for a walk, relaxation and playing sports.

After the audience, the Ambassador of Belgium to Thailand will then take the Chaipattana Aerator to be established at Woluwe Saint-Pierre Park to honor the ingenuity of His Majesty the King in creating this practical invention. The invention will be an excellent example for the world population in rousing them to recognize the importance of the environment and to cooperate in preserving it to remain with mankind forever.

Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation Presenting Certificate to Farmers Participating in the Biological Demonstration Rice Field Project on the Chaipattana Foundation's Land, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province

On August 27, 2002, Mr. Sumet Tantivejkul, Committee Member and Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation, presided over the closing and certificate presenting ceremony of the Biological Demonstration Rice Field Project at Lad Bua Luang District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province.

The Biological Demonstration Rice Field Project on the Chaipattana Foundation's Land at Lad Bua Luang District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, is one of the projects that helps solve the problem of the overuse of chemical fertilizers and substances as well as the lack of know-how in proper production system of farmers. Through the learning process of the Farmers' School, proper know-how was transferred to farmers. In this way, farmers not only acquired know-how and skills, but they could also make right decisions on the use of production factors as well as select proper, economical and safe pest control methods. Besides, farmers were taught to think, implement and solve problems on their own. As a result, they became more independent of both the officials' help and chemical substances.

Farmers participating in this project had an opportunity to present their interested learning issues such as insects, soil nutrients, herbs, weeds, pests, rice varieties and their development, water and water level in rice fields, compost, biological fertilizer and self-built propagating plots. Apart from know-how gained while participating in the project, farmers became more aware of the value and significance of the environment and the important thing is that they could enjoy better health.
