This aerator was designed with air pipes with small holes drilled along the sides of the pipes on the water surface, through which air was pumped. The air stirred the polluted water and injected oxygen with an efficiency equal to 0.45 kilogram/ horsepower/hour. 

   This model has now been abandoned due to problems of clogging of the drilled holes and low efficiency.
