In 2021, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn granted a permission to Tea Oil and Other Oil Crops Research and Development Center of the Chaipattana Foundation, in Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province, to change the product name from “Tea Seed Oil” to “Camellia Seed Oil” with an objective to reduce confusion among people who mostly understand that it is a tea for drinking, and also make the name sound more international. This year, the event was organized under the concept “Olive Oil  of the Asia with Amazingly Delicacies”.
