The Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation Presides over the Merit-making Ceremony Marking the 77th Birthday Anniversary of the Assistant Abbot of the Rama IX Golden Jubilee

On 20 July 2025, Mr. Sumet Tantivejkul, Member and Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation, served as the lay president at the merit-making ceremony in celebration of the 77th birthday anniversary of Phra Thepwachirasoonthorn (Thongchai Thammathacho), Assistant Abbot of Rama IX Golden Jubilee, held at the ordination hall of the temple in Bangkok.

The Rama IX Golden Jubilee was established under the royal initiative of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great (Rama IX). His Majesty envisioned it as “a small temple that is simple, economical, and modern-a spiritual center for the community, serving as a source of religious, social, and moral education for youth and local residents to cultivate mindfulness and social consciousness for the benefit of the nation.
