Merit-Making Ceremonies in Memory of Phra Brahmavajirasudhi, Abbot of Rama IX Golden Jubilee Temple

On 3 April 2026, Mr. Sumet Tantivejkul, Member and Senior Special Advisor of the Chaipattana Foundation, attended the royal bathing rite and merit-making ceremony, including the bangsukun (Buddhist memorial chanting), in memory of Phra Brahmavajirasudhi, Abbot of Rama IX Golden Jubilee Temple, at Rama IX Golden Jubilee Temple, Bangkok. Phra Brahmavajirasudhi passed away peacefully at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, the Thai Red Cross Society, on 2 April 2026, at the age of 89, after 69 years in the monkhood.
On 16 April 2026, Mr. Sumet Tantivejkul, Member and Senior Special Advisor of the Chaipattana Foundation, and Mrs. Suporn Trinarin, Secretary-General of the Office of the Royal Development Projects Board, together with executives and staff from both organizations, attended the Abhidhamma funeral chanting ceremony for Phra Brahmavajirasudhi. The Chaipattana Foundation and the Office of the Royal Development Projects Board jointly served as hosts of the ceremony, which was held at the Sermon hall of Rama IX Golden Jubilee Temple.

On 21 May 2026, Mr. Sumet Tantivejkul, Member and Senior Special Advisor of the Chaipattana Foundation, presided over the merit-making ceremony marking the 50th day since the passing of Phra Brahmavajirasudhi, Abbot of Rama IX Golden Jubilee Temple. The ceremony was held at the Sermon hall of Rama IX Golden Jubilee Temple.
On 11 July 2026, Mr. Sumet Tantivejkul, Member and Senior Special Advisor of the Chaipattana Foundation, presided over the merit-making ceremony commemorating the 100th day since the passing of Phra Brahmavajirasudhi, Abbot of Rama IX Golden Jubilee Temple. The ceremony was held at the Sermon Hall of Rama IX Golden Jubilee Temple.
