HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn grants the Chaipattana Aerators (Water-Air Pump Type, Model RX-5C) to alleviate water pollution crisis caused by sunken sugar barge in the Chao Phraya River

In response to the sinking of a cargo barge carrying over 2,400 tones of sugar in the Chao Phraya River in Ayutthaya Province which occurred on 31 May, 2011, and had affected many local residents who suffered from the water pollution as a result of depleted oxygen in water,

Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, Chairperson of the Chaipattana Foundation, commissioned the Office of the Chaipattana Foundation to join the Royal Irrigation Department in the installation of 12 Chaipattana Water-Air Pump Type Aerators, Model RX-5C in the downstream area of Pakkred District of Nonthaburi Province in order to help support water purification damaged by the polluted water from the Chao Phraya River.
