On 8 May 2018, Her Royal Highness Princess Chakri Maha Sirindhorn, on behalf of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun, graciously bestowed the degree to the newly graduate from Burapha University for the academic year 2017, at Burapha University, Chonburi Province. After the said ceremony, HRH granted an opportunity to Dr. Sumet Tantivejkul, Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation, to bring the students from Lao People's Democratic Republic, who received scholarship from the foundation, to pay a visit on the occasion of their graduation.
