Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Visits KohYao Chaipat Hospital, KohYao District, Phang Nga Province

On 24 May 2019, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn visited KohYao Chaipat Hospital, KohYao District, Phang Nga Province. On this occasion, Her Royal Highness graciously granted an audience to Chaipattana Scholarship students who perform duties at this hospital.

This project was established due to the tsunami disaster in 2004 in which Phang Nga Province was severely hit by this natural disaster. Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn granted a royal command to the Chaipattana Foundation to provide assistance to the tsunami victims. The assistance mainly focuses in the area where is hard to be accessed. Medical equipment and hospital reconstruction were provided by the Chaipattana Foundation. In addition, the royally granted scholarships ,for students to further their studies in bachelor degree have been offered. These scholarship students would be expected to work in medical and public health sections.
