His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great had great concern on the environmental problems especially those of wastewater and solid waste. His Late Majesty, therefore, granted an initiation to establish this Project with an aim to solve the environmental problems by implementing the concept of “nature by nature” method, while using simple and practical technologies. Initially, wastewater and solid waste from Phetchaburi’s municipality are treated by natural means. LERD Project activities are focused on research and development, knowledge dissemination, community engagement, as well as eco-tourism in a sustainable manner.
