At the beginning of 2020, the coronavirus started to spread in Thailand, causing the lack of medical equipment and supplies in many hospitals nationwide. As a consequence, the “Chaipattana Covid-19 Aid Fund (and Other Pandemics)” was established to fight against the outbreak.

Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously granted a permission to the Chaipattana Foundation to allocate some of the fund from “Chaipattana Covid-19 Aid Fund (and Other Pandemics)” to purchase medical equipment and supplies to 122 hospitals in 56 provinces nationwide. In addition, the Prince Chakraband Pensiri Center for Plant Development and the Good Farmer Soldiers Project of the Chaipattana Foundation started selling vegetables and agricultural products at low prices to alleviate the suffering of people during the pandemic. Furthermore, the Chaipattana Vocational Park Project in Nakhon Pathom Province launched the online course “Learn, Work and Earn Income to Fight COVID-19 through its Facebook Live. The course provides cooking skill training to help the victims survive COVID-19.
