Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Observes the Operation Progress of the Thaharn Phandee Project (Good Farmer Soldiers) in Kanchanaburi Province through an Online Channel

On 31 March 2021, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn observed the operations of Thaharn Phandee Project (Good Farmer Soldiers) at the 9th Infantry Division, Mueang District, Kanchanaburi Province, through an online channel.

At the 9th Infantry Division, the military officers have conducted many activities, for example, setting up Packaging of agricultural products factory, farmer market, royally-granted seeds production “Friends for Friends” in western Thailand, agricultural demonstrating plots, growing safe vegetable, freshwater fish farming, developing seeds segregation machine, making organic fertilizer from waste bagasse, etc. Additionally, Khaki Campbell layer duck, royally-granted black bone chicken, royally-granted composition of organic compost, bio fermented water from fish, wood vinegar production have been conducted.

The soldiers in Thaharn Phandee Project (Good Farmer Soldier) at the 9th Infantry Division have been trained to produce safe vegetables and the knowledge has been extended to the communities. About 388 soldiers of three military classes, who served the full term of service, were given seeds and were assigned to extend the knowledge and knowhow from this project to different communities. For instance, the two projects, i.e., “school lunch project” and “Ban Nee Mee Rak Plook Pak Kin Aeng” (grow vegetable for your own consumption), have been extended for the local involvement in the border areas in 4 provinces, including Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Phetchaburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan. So far, the royally-granted seeds have been distributed to 450 households.

On this occasion, True Corporation Public Company Limited provided the support of mobile vehicle for distributing high speed internet signal for the smoothness while broadcasting.
