Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Travels to Observe the Operation of Thaharn Phandee Project (The Good Farmer Soldiers) in Si Sa Ket Province

On 24 August 2023, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn traveled to observe the operation of Thaharn Phandee Project (The Good Farmer Soldiers) at Special Unit, 23rd Ranger Forces Regiment, Uthumphon Khet Protection Camp, Mueang Sub-district, Kantharalak District, Sisaket Province.

Thaharn Phandee Project (The Good Farmer Soldier), 23rd Ranger Forces Regiment, has been operating since 13 June 2020 in the area of 45 rai (18 acres). There are 4 main activities which are 10 rai (4 acres) of royally-granted vegetable seeds and Chinda chili Plantation area, 15 rai (6 acres) of animal housing area, 5 rai (2 acres) of building and houses of 4 tribes and 15 rai (6 acres)of durian and fruit crops plantation area. On this occasion, Her Royal Highness also inspected the operation of the various projects including the mission of military dogs, agricultural plantation plot, the expansion of the Thaharn Phandee Project (The Good Farmer Soldiers) to the border areas of Suranaree Army under the project named “Chumchon Bergbarn Aharn Plod Pai” (Happy Community, Healthy Food). The military staff provided knowledge on how to grow safe vegetables to Ban Chan Hom Ta Sek School, Kantharalak District. The teachers and students can bring vegetables back to further grow at their household. This helps reduce expenses and ultimately create the sustainability to the community.

On this occasion, Her Royal Highness graciously had a conversation with the military personnel in 23rd Ranger Forces Regiment and presented bags of supplies to military and police representatives who perform border protection duties in Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani Provinces.
