In 2021, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn traveled to observe the operation of the Good Farmer Soldiers Project at the 6th Infantry Division in Roi Et Province. Her Royal Highness graciously granted permission to the 2nd Development Division to set up the Royally-granted Seeds "Friends for Friends" in the Southern Isaan, aimed at producing quality vegetable seeds to be distributed to people affected by disasters and those in remote areas.

During the visit, Her Royal Highness inaugurated three royal seed production centers, which include the "Royally-granted Vegetable Seeds Production Friends for Friends" in Southern Isaan, the "Royally-granted Poultry Breeding Friends for Friends" in Southern Isaan of Nakhon Ratchasima, and the “Royally-granted Frog Breeding Friends for Friends" in Southern Isaan.

Following this, Her Royal Highness observed the royally-granted vegetable seed production plots and fruit tree plots which are planned to be expanded to the community under the project “Tang Nee Mee Phol Poo Kon Rak Kan” (Share the Love, Share the Veggies). The Project aims at encouraging the local to share the fruits and vegetables in community. The “Herbs Cultivation Plot” include herbs for pest control and medicinal use for personnel and local residents, such as tuba root, Aloe Vera, and Hophead Barleria, etc.

The Good Farmer Soldiers Project has expanded the Project’s result of “Baan Nee Mee Rak Plook Pak Kin Aeng” (Grow the Veggies in the Home of Love), by requesting the royal seeds for distributing to military personnel to grow at their hometowns. Additionally, the Project’s result also extended to the network communities under the Good Farmer Soldiers Project “Chumchon Bergbarn Aharn Plod Pai” (Happy Community, Healthy Food)”. The seeds were distributed to 33 schools and communities in Southern Isaan region, allowing them to have safe vegetables for consumption. The Project also encourages the students and their parents to cultivate vegetables in vacant spaces at home with the aim to reduce family’s expenses.
