Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Follows Up on the Progress of “Thaharn Phandee Project” at Burachat Camp, Ratchaburi Province
On 4 July 2025, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously proceeded to observe the progress of “Thaharn Phandee Project (The Good Farmer Soldiers)”at the Royal Thai Army Engineer Department, Burachat Camp, Ko Phlapphla Sub-district, Mueang Ratchaburi District, Ratchaburi Province.
On this occasion, General Phana Klaewplodthuk, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, presented a report on the project’s implementation, carried out in accordance with Her Royal Highness’s royal initiative to assist local communities.
The Engineer Department joined the “Thaharn Phandee Project (The Good Farmer Soldiers)” initiative in 2020, allocating 34.8 acres of land to establish a center for plant and animal breeding in the western region, with the aim of extending the benefits to surrounding communities. Key activities include:
Agriculture: Implementation of a safe vegetable production project at Burachat Camp, involving a rotation of various crops.
Tilapia (Chitralada strain) Breeding Production Project: The project produced and distributed fish to schools in surrounding and remote areas, serving as a sustainable food source for students.
Cattle Breeding Production Project: A pilot cattle breeding project to support, promote, and expand cattle breeding, with the goal of presenting royally-granted cattle to people in need.

Her Royal Highness later presided over the opening ceremony of the Royal Poultry Breeding Center “Friends for Friends” in the Western Region, and observed operations and exhibitions under the theme “The Army for the People,” showcasing disaster relief and community support efforts. Her Royal Highness also observed the “The Good Farmer Soldiers for the People” initiative and graciously granted words of encouragement and morale support to military personnel to continue performing their duties.
