Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Presides Over the Opening Ceremony of the PatPat Camellia Oil Festival
On 12 September 2025, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously presided over the opening of the PatPat Camellia Oil Festival: A Decade of Value from Camellia Seed Oil, jointly organized by the Chaipattana Foundation and The Mall Group Co., Ltd., at M Tower, 14th Floor, Emsphere Shopping Complex, Bangkok. On this occasion, Mr. Surat Umpujh, Chairman of The Mall Group Co., Ltd., had the honor of presenting a donation to the Chaipattana Foundation to Her Royal Highness.
Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously presided over the opening ceremony of the PatPat Camellia Oil Festival: A Decade of Value from Camellia Seed Oil. During the ceremony, Her Royal Highness planted a seedling of Camellia oleifera, a tea oil plant species presented to Her Royal Highness by His Excellency Mr. Zhang Jianwei, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of Thailand. The plant later produced PatPat Camellia Seed Oil, which Her Royal Highness bestowed upon the Chaipattana Foundation.
On this occasion, Her Royal Highness also prepared a special dish — Filo Pastry Filled with Cheese, Fried in Camellia Seed Oil, Served with Honey Yogurt — using PatPat Camellia Seed Oil as an ingredient. Her Royal Highness then observed various food demonstrations and dishes prepared by participating restaurants at the festival, all featuring camellia seed oil as a key ingredient, as well as visited activity booths within the event area.
This year’s event marked the 10th year of collaboration between the Chaipattana Foundation and The Mall Group Co., Ltd., aimed at promoting PatPat Camellia Seed Oil to a wider audience. To commemorate this special occasion, the organizing team joined hand with the popular lifestyle brand Butterbear to launch the PatPat Camellia Oleifera & Cocoa Butter bath cream and soap collection, presented as part of the Butterbear Series. The collection features a youthful, modern design while maintaining the high quality and commitment to sustainable development that the PatPat brand represents.
The PatPat Camellia Oil Festival: A Decade of Value from Camellia Seed Oil was held from 10 to 23 September 2025 at M Market, G Floor, Emsphere Shopping Complex, Bangkok.
