Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Follows up on the Progress of the Royal Initiative Project on Learning Promotion for Environmental Conservation and Rehabilitation in Mae Sot Distric ...

On 22 December 2025, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously proceeded to observe and review the progress of the Royal Initiative Project on Learning Promotion for Environmental Conservation and Rehabilitation in Mae Sot District, Tak Province. On this occasion, General Jesda Srisupap, Member and Deputy Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation, respectfully attended to receive Her Royal Highness.

The project is being implemented in response to the royal initiatives of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, the King Rama IX, and Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. Its objective is to develop the area into a learning center and a model site for the rehabilitation of land previously permitted for zinc mining, transforming it into a botanical garden, an educational and natural study area, and an eco-tourism destination. The project also aims to enhance the quality of life of local communities while fostering environmental awareness and encouraging community participation in forest resource conservation, thereby contributing to sustainable development in economic, social, and environmental dimensions.
