Press Conference “PatPat Camellia Seed Oil Festival”

On 16 August 2023, Mr. Sumet Tantivejkul, Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation, presided over the press conference of “PatPat Camellia Seed Oil Festival”, at Helix Garden, 5th Floor,  EmQuartier Department Store, Bangkok.

“PatPat Camellia Seed Oil Festival” is organized every year. This time is the 4th year which was held during 31 August to 7 September, 2023, at EmQuartier Department Store, under the theme "BORN FROM HEART MADE FOR HEALTH." The event was divided into 2 zones, which are food expo and exhibition art.

The Food Expo Zone was organized at Quartier Avenue, G Floor, featuring the products from the development projects of the Chaipattana Foundation, for example, PatPat, Chan Ka Phak, Camellia Oil products including the dyed silk thread from the shell of Camellia oleifera seed oil crafted by silk weaving group of “Sericulture Integrated-Learning Center of the Chaipattana Foundation”, Ban Khwao District, Chaiyaphum Province. The quality products from Gourmet Market, which use Camellia seed oil from PatPat, were also available for tasting and for sale at the event.

The Exhibition Art Zone was held at Q Stadium, M Floor, featuring the PatPat Camellia Seed Oil’s exhibition, presenting the story and background of PatPat Camellia Seed Oil as well as the benefits and handicraft works. Tea Oil and Other Oil Crops Research and Development Center of the Chaipattana Foundation was established as to the initiatives of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn with an intention to restore deteriorated forests, bring back the fertility of the degraded forest areas, and generate incomes for the local people.
