Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Travels to Observe the Operation of Thaharn Phandee Project (The Good Farmer Soldiers) at Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy, Nakhon Nayok Province

On 3 September 2022, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn traveled to observe the operation of Thaharn Phandee Project (The Good Farmer Soldiers) at Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy, Muang District, Nakhon Nayok Province.

The Project at Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy covers an area of 53 rai (21.2 acres) and the operation has been conducted since 2020 with an objective to set up the project as a learning center for safe vegetable cultivation for army sergeants. Since then, the agricultural cultivation plots including animal husbandry and fishery have been conducted to serve military personnel in the camp.

Thaharn Phandee Project (The Good Farmer Soldiers) at Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy has allocated the area in the Project to carry out other various activities, for example, “Baan Nee Mee Rak Plook Pak Kin Aeng” (Grow the Veggies in the Home of Love), "Tang Nee Mee Phol Poo Kon Rak Kan” (Share the Love, Share the Veggies), safe vegetable cultivation,  raising Chitralada tilapia "Friends for friends", raising layer duck, etc.

The military personnel who have participated in the Project can extend the knowledge on cultivation to new army cadets, families and communities. In addition, the Project also serves as the learning center for military personnel and people in the vicinity. The agricultural products from this Project are used for cooking for military personnel and the rest could be distributed to their families, while the rest could be sold to the people in community at cheap price.
