On 18 November 2022, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn traveled to observe the rice harvesting at agricultural demonstration plot number 5 of Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy in Nakhon Nayok Province.

The rice harvested this time is the non-photoperiod-sensitive RD87 rice. The harvesting period is 114 days, with productivity around 730 kilograms/rai. This type of rice can provide the highest yield at 1,053 kilogram/rai. This type of rice is in high demand because of its physical quality-long grain with low chalky white belly. Once cooked, it has aromatic smell with soft texture. The RD87 rice is suitable to grow in irrigation areas of central and lower northern regions of Thailand.

On this occasion, Her Royal Highness also attended the operation briefing from Pathumthani Rice Research Center, Nakhon Nayok Provincial Agricultural Extension Office, Royal Irrigation Department, Department of Fisheries, Department of Agriculture, and Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy.
